Sandra Dyeak knows events inside and out. Literally. From dance major at a prestigious performing arts high school to event manager at one of the country’s ten largest convention centers, Sandra has experienced the pressures of being a performer, a planner, a vendor, and a manager of events.
While earning her degree in Performing Arts Administration at NYU, Sandra interned at Richard Frankel Productions, working on the hit Broadway musicals The Producers and Hairspray as an assistant to the Executive Producers. After graduation, she became the Office Manager at the Brad Simon Organization, a talent agency representing over 40 theatrical and musical groups.
In 2003, Sandra returned to Houston and began work at Stages Repertory Theatre as their Development Associate where she managed their fundraising programs and oversaw their social calendar. While there, she produced two galas that set back-to-back fundraising records.
Next, Sandra got to see things from the vendor’s perspective as she worked as the General Manager of Art Attack, an event décor company. While there, she wrote the submission that won her company a 2006 Best Event Design Award from ISES, Houston Chapter for their work on the Children’s Museum of Houston 2005 Gala.
Only a year into her tenure, the City of Houston came calling, offering Sandra an event management position at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Managing events that ranged from 10 to 10,000 attendees, Sandra worked with politicians, celebrities, and some of the biggest corporations in America.
In 2009, Sandra moved to Los Angeles, turning her expertise and experience into the opportunity to work for herself as she started Bright Red Events.
